Hello! I am Rumiana.
I am currently a Senior Experience Design Lead at Adobe where I work with a team of designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers to design the future of painting and drawing applications for creative professionals.
Previously I was a Product Design Manager responsible for the management and growth of the mobile components design team for Creative Cloud. In this role, I helped define and develop projects with a focus on consistency across a growing ecosystem of mobile experiences.
Throughout my time at Adobe, I have been focusing on designing products for touch devices and helping creatives optimize their workflows. I am passionate about blurring the lines of where, and on what device creativity begins. I believe creatives should be empowered to work whenever and wherever inspiration strikes.
Prior to joining Adobe, I was at R/GA working for brands such as Nike, Loreal, Mastercard, and Verizon. During my time on the Nike account I was part of the redesign of Nike.com. I also helped design the mobile version of the website, as well as an internal mPOS app used in Nike stores by store associates.
My work has won several awards–D&AD Awards, One Show Interactive, Art Directors Club Awards, Webby Awards, London International Awards, Digiday Awards, FWA Site Of The Day.
I earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston.
As a Bulgarian native, I have several passion projects, such as taking patterns from traditional Bulgarian textiles and infusing them with contemporary lifestyle. I am also a member of Bosilek Bulgarian Folk Dance Ensemble, New York’s oldest and only all women Bulgarian folk dance ensemble.
